US Army M1 helmet model, formed by the outer steel helmet, and the inner helmet.
External steel hull (non-magnetic Hadfield manganese steel), fixed fixing rings, stainless steel bead and frontal closure, no markings can be seen, but due to its characteristics it can be concluded that it was manufactured bySchlueter (non-angular chinstrap fastening rings, circular profile bead welding points), and date its manufacture during the first half of 1943 (Schlueterbegan manufacturing in January 1943).
Rough textured paint with cork and dark green; khaki chinstrap sewn to attachment rings, and brass chinstrap buckle with solid, cylindrical prongs.
The helmet has the insignia of the 90th Infantry Division painted on the front.Tough-Ombres,and on the rear, the non-commissioned officer's horizontal bar, characteristic of ETO (European theater of operations) troops.
