German tropical helmet 2 model, used by German troops stationed in Sicily and Greece. It bears the two metal side insignia, the tricolor and the Heer. This type of helmet was not well received by troops on the front lines as it did not provide adequate ballistic protection and was too hot.

 

This specimen appears to have been little used. The material that is made is felt, it is accompanied by protective glasses also used by German troops.
