bulgarian helmetC variant of the M36 model. Bulgaria adopted a helmet model based on the German style. This helmet was initially manufactured in Germany and in the former Czechoslovakia, later being manufactured in Bulgaria.

 

Bulgaria during the war was an ally of Germany until 1944, and Bulgarian helmets featured a German-style tricolor side decal. Starting in 1944 and coinciding with the beginning of Bulgaria's alliance with the allies, a red star was added to the front, and newly manufactured helmets no longer had decals.

The helmet is olive green in color, with its interior and full chin strap. It is curious to observe the reinforcing crest on the top of the helmet.
