french state adrian m26

Adrian M26 model helmet, inner lining in waxed fabric manufactured by DOFOUR - Lyon (territory ofl'Etat Français) and dated 1943. Helmet possibly worn byheÉtat Français  - Vichy Government (1940-1944).

The crest is made of steel,  due to its shape and rear location as well as the round shape of the head of the rivets that hold it to the helmet, it would indicate that the helmet was possibly manufactured by MA.M .OU(Manufacture des metalux ouvrés)from Marseille. The rear end of the crest is about 20 mm from the beginning of the visor.

It is curious to observe the detail of the slots to hold the front emblem, they were clearly plugged with welding.
