Italian Army model M33 helmet. It bears the RSI anchor badge on the front (Italian Social Republic) without the crown of theroyal marine. This insignia could indicate that the helmet was worn by theX Flottiglia MASfrom 1944.
Due to the characteristics of the helmet, it could be ventured that its manufacture was from the pre-war period due to the rivets2nd type with 4 tabs. 2 well-differentiated layers of paint can be clearly seen, a lighter one in a grayish tone that could be from the beginning of the war and on top a color with a greener tone that could correspond to the period at the end of the war.
The heavily worn leather chinstrap is classic, with two rivets and rectangular fastening rings. It is noteworthy that the chinstrap is thicker than those of the war period.
