Russian helmet model SSH40, evolved from the previous model of 1939 (SSH39), of which the interior lining was modified to adapt it to the head covering for the cold.

 

Manufactured copy from the war period, waxed canvas interior and khaki chinstrap.

 

It has the classic ink marking indicating the size P-1 (poct) and the year 42, the manufacturer's mark is not clearly visible.

 

This model of the helmet was in service in the USSR army, until 1960.
