The model in the collection has the letters OB VA, indicating its use by a "Vickers-Armstrong observer", painted on the front and on the back, and is painted light blue.

Vickers-Armstrong was a very important arms factory located in London, where the legendary Spitfire was manufactured among other weapons, which is why it was the main target of German bombing raids during thebattle of britain. As the objective that it was, it had defenses with their respective observers.

Except for the color, the helmet is exactly the same as those used in combat. The inner lining is dated 1945, and by the manufacturer FFL II (Fisher Foils Ltd.)
